I was up until 2am last night because our awful neighbours were making so much noise, they had the stereo blaring and the windows wide open and all their teenage daughters' friends round getting blind drunk. I'm sure they see themselves as 'fun' people but everyone round here just sees them as a pain in the a**. They have loud parties on a regular basis and we always find loads of debris from the party in our back garden afterwards. Their garden backs onto ours so all the noise is aimed squarely at our bedroom window, and there's not much point in going to bed until it stops. At least this time they didn't decide to mow the lawn at 7am the next morning, so I suppose we should be grateful for small mercies!
At least staying up so late gave me plenty of time to stitch, stitch, stitch! I made a start on Alhambra Garden. I was surprised at how vivid the palette is, and I just LOVE the Treasure Braid. I'd never used it before as it is less widely available in the UK than some metallics, but I'm a total convert to the stuff!
We spent most of yesterday going out to Watford for DH to visit a specialist RC model shop. On the way back I saw a sign for a place I dimly remembered as having an LNS, advertising obviously does work LOL! It wasn't anything special, you wouldn't make a special trip out there, but I did pick up a couple of nice things. I mentioned to DH that I would love to pay a visit to Wye Needlecraft in Derbyshire as it's supposed to be wonderful, but quite a long way from us. He said he wouldn't mind making the trip one day, and combining it with a visit to his dad. We've only visited FIL twice since we met, he and DH aren't close. I'm not sure when we'll be able to go, but I'm definately looking forward to it.
