There's a party at the pyramids!!!

I sat up till past 1am beading, but it's finally done - after two and a half years, Egypt Garden is finished! And it looks rather splendid if I do say so myself!! I'm so thrilled with this one. I was a bit sick of it truth be told, especially when I was halfway through the beading (I hate beading...why oh why am I always attracted to heavily beaded designs??) but now they're all on I love it all over again.

I only used about half the recommended silks and used the DMC substitute for the rest. I've had a few comments from people who would like to stitch this design but think it's too expensive...well, one thing I've learned from this piece is that even if you can't afford all the bells and whistles, it will still be beautiful. Quite honestly I could happily have subbed even more.

It's gorgeous! Congrats on an amazing finish Gill. I've had this one kitted up since it was an online class, and I may now have to move it to the top of the pile to start. Beautiful!
