Twenty seven stripes into my Coast Ripple blanket, and I'm still enjoying it. Thank goodness for air conditioning though, else it would be far too hot to be crocheting blankets! I realised tonight that in my crochet n00biness I've gone and stuffed up the gauge a bit. You might think that, as a knitter, I would have known better. I suppose I must have just stroked out there for a while. This blanket is about 15cm (6") too wide. Not a huge drama, but I'm guessing I'm going to run out of yarn before I finish all eighty four stripes. So I have a decision to make...do I crochet less stripes, or do I buy more yarn and do all eighty four? I'm inclined to go the route of less stripes as this blanket is more likely to be used as a throw than go on a bed.
